What Does Seasonal Tent Mean?

What Does Seasonal Tent Mean?

There are many states of being in nature. All of them have different tastes and teachings. For example, a mountain climber's journey to the top begins when he raises his head and aims right there. First a smile appears on his face, and then determination appears in his eyes. He carefully plans every step he will take. Because climbers know that every step taken will lead them to the goal, but it must be taken with caution. And when that moment finally comes, the joy experienced when the summit is reached can be found in very few things in this world for a mountain climber.

But forest camping in snowy weather is completely different! The pleasure of sausage and bread immediately comes to mind, as if they were an inseparable duo. Listening to the sounds of the forest, mixing with nature, and observing wildlife adds a lot to a person. Or even the dream of a sea camp, passing from hot sands to cool waters, calms people down.

For example, the pleasure of sleeping with the bone-relaxing warmth of the afternoon sun after overcoming the scorching heat of the afternoon is different. Under the influence of the iodine smell and humidity coming from the sea, the body relaxes and all negative emotions are left behind.

There are many states, conditions and seasons of being in nature that we cannot count. While camping, the hustle and bustle of the city, daily worries and many negative energies are left behind; Basic human needs come to the fore. Because after these basic needs are met, all that's left is to live the day to the fullest and be in the moment.

One of the basic needs in nature, as everywhere, is shelter. Since tents are one of our homes in nature, our topic today is tent selection!

Which seasons do 2-season tents cover? What does 3 season tent mean? Would a 4-season tent be enough? Where is the 5 season tent used? Or do all dreams fit in one tent? Now let's examine them one by one.

What does 2-Season Tent mean?

What does 4-season tent mean?

As you can guess, it refers to tents that can be used in all seasons, that is, autumn, winter, spring and summer. "Why should we buy the previous ones when we have this tent?" The question may come to your mind. The critical issue here is weight! If it is a matter of trekking, mountaineering or a nature walk depending on your destination, you will ask yourself for every gram on your back after a certain temperature and step. :) Due to its suitability for snowy and cold weather, that is, the winter season, 4-season tents are 2-season tents. and we can see that it is heavier than 3-season tents.

If you are going to high altitude areas, points with intense winds, or if you are a mountaineer, let us direct you to the next tent.

What Does 5 Season Tent Mean?

It refers to the tent that can be used at any time of the year and in all weather conditions. There is an indirect reference to a fifth season that we do not see in geography classes. Fifth season; It is expressed for high altitude regions and regions or time periods with intense winds, which we mentioned in the previous tent type.

For this reason, we see that it is mostly preferred by mountaineers. Its biggest difference from other tents is that, thanks to its wind-resistant structure, the stagnant air inside makes it warmer than the outside. They are suitable for all seasons with their ventilation that can be opened and closed.

Where will the road take you? Even if you draw the route, you cannot give a complete answer to this question. Because you have to live and see. However, once you hit the road, you will see that not all dreams fit into a tent and, no matter how cliché it is, 'less is more'. All of these are experienced and understood by experience.
