The Deuter Avengo minimalist crossbody bag uses 100% recycled materials and body fabric with components made using environmentally friendly, resource-efficient production practices—a clear statement of our sustainability commitment. It is a bluesign® product with Green Button certification; it is also climate-neutral and PFC-free. A spacious main compartment, zippered front pocket, and adjustable waist belt mean urban explorers can keep their valuables and other personal items stylishly close to their bodies.

500D RIPS

Recycled polyester is a synthetic fiber derived from PET bottles. A special texture mimics the feel and luster of natural fibers. The result: using 500D PES RECYCLED, our products are much more sustainable and have a natural appearance.

D stands for Denier, a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the stronger (and generally heavier) the material.

PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly resistant to tears and abrasions, are easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.

PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and lightweight, making them ideal for textiles subject to high stress.

REC stands for Recycled; the material is made entirely or partially from recycled sources.

Bluesign® Certified

Consumer products bearing the Bluesign® product label meet the stringent safety and environmental requirements of the Bluesign® system criteria. The textiles and accessories used in the production of bluesign®-certified labeled products are manufactured in a way that conserves valuable resources and minimizes the impact on people and the environment.

PFAS-Free

This Deuter product is manufactured by us without the use of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS is also used as a coating for rain protection thanks to its water, dirt, and oil-repellent properties.

Instead, Deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless and environmentally friendly.

ClimatePartner-certified product

We are making positive strides towards reducing our CO² emissions by increasingly adopting materials and technologies with a smaller carbon footprint in our collections. However, despite our best efforts, it's impossible to produce no emissions at all. That's why we've partnered with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is purchased, the volume of emissions released during its production and transportation will be compensated through voluntary offsets and targeted investments in specific social and climate protection projects.
