220D PA FLAT TPU

D stands for Denier, a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means 9,000 meters of yarn weighs 600 grams. The higher the value, the stronger (and generally heavier) the material.

PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are extremely tear and abrasion resistant, easy to maintain, and absorb very little moisture.

PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and lightweight, making them ideal for textiles subject to high stress. > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.

BS stands for bluesign® certified – the material is produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner according to the bluesign® standard.

SL Women's Fit System

This model is also available in an SL version. The SL back length is specific to women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. Therefore, the carrying system on the SL model is slightly shorter than on Deuter standard backpacks. Furthermore, the carrying system is specifically adapted to the female anatomy. This Deuter product is manufactured without perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS are also used as a coating for rain protection because they repel water, dirt, and oil.

Instead, Deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless and environmentally friendly.
