The Fox expands with the Vari-Quick back length system for extended adventure backpacking fun.

Deuter Fox 40 Materials

600D PES

Woven from 600-denier polyester yarn and a thick PU coating, this tear-resistant and lightweight fabric is extremely versatile. It's the ideal solution when it comes to keeping the backpack's weight as low as possible with moderate stress. The "Deuter Super Polytex BS" version is manufactured in accordance with the stringent bluesign® standard. Its properties and stress factors are identical.

210D PA RECYCLED

SUSTAINABLE: 50% of the yarn is made from recycled raw materials. The main material is made from bluesign® certified material.

210D PA RECYCLED

D stands for denier. This refers to the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9,000 meters.

PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are highly resistant to tearing and abrasion and virtually impervious to moisture.

PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely durable and abrasion resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

Deuter Aircontact System

High loads can be carried optimally when the carrier and backpack work as a single entity. This is where our Aircontact principle comes into play: The carrying system is positioned directly over the body, keeping the load close to the body's center of gravity. This ensures full control and efficient load transfer. At the same time, the breathable Aircontact back pad provides noticeable and pleasant ventilation thanks to its pumping effect with every movement.

PFAS-free

This product is free of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). PFASs have water, dirt, and oil-repellent properties, but are persistent chemicals that are harmful to humans, animals, and the environment.

Instead, Deuter uses durable water-repellent finishes (DWR) that are harmless to human and animal health, environmentally friendly, and free of these "persistent chemicals."
