This lightweight, technical backpack is perfect for more athletic day hikes: The Aircomfort back system is exceptionally comfortable, and the new mesh design creates maximum airflow across the back. The result is 25% less sweating and, consequently, increased performance. The flexible mesh front pocket is great for venting wet clothes on the go (e.g., after a quick dip in a mountain stream).

600D PES
Woven from 600-denier polyester yarn and featuring a thick PU coating, this tear-resistant and lightweight fabric is extremely versatile. When it comes to keeping the backpack's weight as low as possible with moderate stress, it's the ideal solution. The "Deuter Super Polytex BS" version is manufactured in accordance with the stringent bluesign® standard. Its properties and stress factors are identical.
D stands for denier. This refers to the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9,000 meters.
PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are highly resistant to tears and abrasion and virtually moisture-absorbing.
PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

Deuter Aircomfort System
When it comes to small to medium-volume backpacks for use on easier terrain, maximum ventilation is our guiding principle. The flexible core of the Aircomfort systems is a permanently elastic spring steel frame. Even under heavy loads, the special airy mesh maintains constant tension, creating a ventilation space between the backpack and the back where moist air can evaporate freely.

50% of the yarn is produced from recycled raw materials. This can save 12% of greenhouse gases.
PFAS-Free
This product does not contain PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). PFASs have water, dirt, and oil repellent properties, but they are persistent chemicals that are harmful to humans, animals, and the environment.
Instead, Deuter uses durable water-repellent (DWR) finishes that are harmless to human and animal health, environmentally friendly, and free of these persistent chemicals.
