On average, women's backs are not as long as men's. That's why the SL carrying system is slightly shorter than Deuter's standard backpacks.
Aircomfort System
In homes on easy terrains, we prefer small to medium sized backpacks to have maximum ventilation. The heart of Aircomfort systems - tested and proven for decades - is its flexible spring steel frame. It is extremely durable, provides stable tension for the ventilated back crotch and provides a ventilation gap between the wearer's waist and the bag so that moisture and hot air are lost.
Active Comfort Fit
To ensure a perfect fit, the backpack should fit as close to the body as possible. Thus, the weight can be evenly distributed over the entire waist. The Active-Comfort-fit system brings fantastic carrying comfort to a solid and padded structure.
Spring Steel Skeleton Structure
The round spring steel frame structure is very light and flexible. It is highly durable, provides a balanced tension for the back mesh and transfers the load to the hip belt. Its flexibility provides excellent freedom of movement and fit.

The elastic spring steel frame provides tension for the mesh net, providing a ventilation gap between the bag and the back area, thus allowing moist air from the body to disperse.

600D PES
Made from 600 denier polyester yarn and thick PU coating, this all-purpose fabric is sturdy and lightweight. Best suited for bags used in average conditions to keep weight to a minimum.
210D PA
We use nylon material with a hard structure of 420 denier and 210 denier. Special high-density denier polyamide offers high abrasion resistance with a very tight weave. This top quality fabric guide is used for backpacks and travel series models. PU coating (water permeable and fade resistant).
* D means denier. Defines the yarn weight. For example; 600D is 600 grams at 9000 metres.
*PES stands for polyester. PES fibers are resistant to wear and tear, and water permeability is minimal.
* PA stands for polyamide. PA fibers are extremely tough and wear resistant. In addition, high elasticity and low weight are its distinguishing features.
* PU: Polyurethane coating (water permeable and fade resistant).
