Deuter Raincover Materials
70D PA
Finely woven 70 denier polyamide fabric is used for Deuter rain covers. It is lightweight, packs into a small space, and provides excellent protection from rain thanks to its PU coating.
Denier: A unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weighs 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and generally heavier) the material.
PES: Polyester fibers are highly tear and abrasion resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
PA: Polyamide fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subjected to high stress.
REC: The material is made entirely or partially from recycled sources.
BS: The material is produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner according to the bluesign® standard.
Deuter Raincover Technologies
PFAS Free
This product is manufactured by Deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorocarbon chemicals, aiming to reduce reliance on substances harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is used as a waterproofing coating, among other things, due to its water, dirt, and grease repellent properties.
Deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Sustainable Water Street) coating that is harmless to human and animal health.
Green Button
The Green Button is a government-operated certification label for sustainable textiles. Anyone aiming to buy socially and environmentally sustainable clothing should pay attention to the Green Button. Currently, there is no other label quite like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards be met to protect people and the environment.
ClimatePartner
By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections with smaller carbon footprints, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO2 emissions. However, despite our best efforts, it is impossible to produce no emissions at all. And so, we have partnered with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO2 emissions.
Bluesign
Consumer products bearing the Bluesign® product label comply with the stringent safety and environmental requirements of the bluesign® system criteria. The textiles and accessories used to produce Bluesign® certified products are manufactured in a way that saves valuable resources and has a minimal impact on people and the environment.
100% Recycled
Thanks to resource-efficient production methods, recycled synthetic fibers generally require less CO2, less energy, and less crude oil compared to newly produced materials. The body fabric is also manufactured according to the strictest standards for environmental protection, occupational safety, and consumer protection, bearing the blue mark.
