Deuter StepOut Materials
600D REC PES, 300D PES RECYCLED
Recycled polyester is a synthetic fiber derived from PET bottles. A special texture mimics the feel and shine of natural fibers. The result: Using 300D PES RECYCLED, our products are much more sustainable and have a natural look.
300D PES RECYCLED 100% recycled fabrics
All fabrics are 100% recycled and produced according to the bluesign® standard.
D stands for Denier, a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the stronger (and generally heavier) the material.
PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly resistant to tears and abrasions, are easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and lightweight, making them ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
REC stands for Recycled; the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
Deuter AirStripes System
The breathable Airstripes back system provides good rear airflow and a comfortable fit for technical trails. A new sternum strap with a hand buckle and mesh hip fins keep the pack in perfect position—no matter how challenging the ride.
Secure Fit
Thanks to the aerodynamic ergonomics of the back padding and carrying system.
Effective Airflow
Thanks to the reduced contact surface of the back padding, with special ventilation channels between them and breathable 3D mesh.
Benefits
The compact fit provides stability on rough terrain, preventing load wobbling. The padding with ventilation channels generates airflow across 80% of the back, minimizing the contact surface.
PFAS-Free
This Deuter product is manufactured by us without the use of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is also used as a coating for rain protection thanks to its water, dirt, and oil-repellent properties.
Instead, Deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is both harmless and environmentally friendly.
