Deuter Walker Materials
300D PES Ripstop
Polyester (PES) is a synthetic fiber based on crude oil. Ripstop is a fabric woven using a specific technique and is particularly tear-resistant. Its special texture mimics the feel and luster of natural fibers. The result: By using 300D PES RIPSTOP, our products are particularly durable while also having a natural appearance.
600D PAS
Woven from 600 denier polyester yarn and a thick PU coating, this tear-resistant and lightweight fabric is versatile. When it comes to keeping the weight of a backpack as low as possible with moderate stress, it's the ideal solution. The "Milk Super Politex BS" version is manufactured in accordance with the stringent bluesign® standard. Its properties and stress factors are identical.
D stands for Denier, a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the stronger (and generally heavier) the material.
PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly resistant to tears and abrasions, are easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and lightweight, making them ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
REC stands for Recycled; the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
Deuter AirStripes System
The breathable Airstripes back system provides good rear airflow and a comfortable fit for technical trails. A new sternum strap with a hand buckle and mesh hip fins keep the pack in perfect position—no matter how challenging the ride.

PFAS-Free
This Deuter product is manufactured by us without the use of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is also used as a coating for rain protection thanks to its water, dirt, and oil-repellent properties.
Instead, Deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless and environmentally friendly.
