Scarpa Furia Air redefined glove-like fit, the extremely lightweight furia air offers new possibilities for the use of the foot during climbing. The asymmetrical, downturned shape combined with a medium to high angled toe box provides toe sensitivity with unrivaled foot flexibility.

Scarpa Furia Air Features

Upper : Double-layer Microfiber with perforated outer part. Alcantara is added under the big toe area. Wave Closure System keeps the upper securely on the foot while in motion. Flexible gusset provides easy entry.

Active Ranging : The IPR active randing system gives the shoe a high level of flexibility and maintains tension from the forefoot to the heel. SRT toe system with M50 rubber for unrivaled toe hook ability.

Insole : 1 mm Flexan insert supports the Flexor hallucis longus tendon (FHL) and increases sensitivity.

Sole : 1/4 length outsole made of 3.0 mm Vibram XS Grip 2 compound, heel coated with 2.0 mm thick XS GRIP 2.

SRT Surround Rubber

SRT is the basic technology of the Soft Line Chimera, Drago and Furia S models. It's a layer of our ultra-soft M50 rubber that hugs the forefoot and transfers power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for the toe hook. Climbing in soft shoes improves one's climbing style and naturally strengthens toe strength. The complete freedom of placement of the foot promotes a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.

PAF System

PAF is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of heel tension and improve the fit of the heel. Aggressive stretch rubber is cut at the back of the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon and is bonded with softer rubber that works like a bridge and conforms precisely to the shape of the heel. Holes on the side of the heel indicate the applied tension, ranging from 1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for medium tension, and 3 holes for strong tension.

DTS Tension System

The DTS tension system adapts perfectly to the dynamics of the foot in motion. The Differentiated Tension System concentrates force on the big toe without affecting the fit of other parts of the shoe. This helps keep the foot and toe in the optimal position for power transfer and precision.

M50 Rubber

M50 Rubber is our softest rubber compound that optimally adapts to the natural curves of the foot and toes. Developed with Davos®, this shape-shifting rubber compound delivers a 50 Shore A rating, making it perfect for use in our SRT system, toe patches, and strategic positioning around the upper of shoes

Vibram XS Grip 2

Vibram® XS GRIP 2 represents the natural evolution of Vibram® XS GRIP. Used by many bouldering world championship winners.
