Scarpa Golden Gate ATR Features

The highly breathable upper mesh is supported by our EXO internal support matrix, inspired by the structural elements of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Welded PU reinforcements in the upper provide additional structure, support, and abrasion resistance.

The Adaptive Cushioning System (ACS) combines two densities of high-performance EVA to provide cushioning and energy return.

The forefoot and midfoot feature higher-density EVA, which rebounds and "springs" during the toe-off phase, returning energy to the wearer.

Low-density EVA in the heel provides excellent cushioning for training.

EXO

Upper construction system designed by SCARPA. The lateral protection (inserts or thermally welded mesh) combined with the upper creates an exoskeleton that better protects, supports, and holds the foot.

Ortholite

Ortholite is an open-cell PU foam with excellent resistance to compression set (less than 5% compression set). The open-cell PU structure provides exceptional breathability, and the formulation also contains 5% recycled rubber, providing enhanced rebound while reducing the impact on the planet.

SuperGum

SCARPA's proprietary SuperGum rubber compound was developed to provide equal or better slip resistance compared to other high-friction rubbers, yet with far superior abrasion resistance. It is formulated to provide high friction performance in both wet and dry conditions, while also offering three times the abrasion resistance.
